Common name: GLADSTON'S SPUR-THROAT.
Size: 17-22 mm.
General distribution: S. central Canada, S. to Arizona, Texas, and Mexico.
Distribution in New Mexico: Statewide.
Habitat: Grassland.
Host: Many grasses, forbs, alfalfa.
Adults Present: August-October.
Notes: Cerci of male strap-like; furculae short, divergent; supra-anal plate with conspicuous depressions; subgenital plate wider than high; hind femora with lower margin straight to about middle; color brown with long tegmina conspicuously marked; hind tibiae red or green. Not economically important.
