Common name: DAWSON'S SPUR-THROAT.
Size: 15-20 mm.
General distribution: S. central Canada to Maine, S. to New Mexico and Pennsylvania.
Distribution in New Mexico: Santa Fe.
Habitat: Mixed herbaceous areas on slopes; mostly lower mountains.
Host: Unknown.
Adults Present: July-August.
Notes: Male cerci porkchop-shaped; furculae large, broad-based, and pointed; subgenital plate roughly triangular; brown to gray; tibiae red; tegmina short. Not economically important.
