Common name: ARID LANDS SPUR-THROAT.
Size: 13-20 mm.
General distribution: California, E. to Texas.
Distribution in New Mexico: Nearly statewide, except NE.
Habitat: Desert mountains.
Host: Forbs, cultivated plants.
Adults Present: July-September.
Notes: Male cerci long and slender, narrow toward middle; furculae short; tegmina very short and pad-like; hind tibiae green-blue. Occasionally damages cultivated plants.
