Common name: BLUE WINGED GRASSHOPPER.
Size: 35-57 mm.
General distribution: Colorado S. to Texas and SE Arizona and central Mexico.
Distribution in New Mexico: Dona Ana, Hidalgo, Lea, Luna, Otero, Quay, San Juan, Sierra, Socorro, Union, Valencia.
Habitat: Grassland, desert.
Host: Range grasses.
Adults Present: July-December.
Notes: Similar to above, but more pale and with narrower hind wing bands. Tibia yellow, green, or blue; wings pale yellow to pale blue. No crepitation. Not economically important.
