General distribution: NE United States, W. to North Dakota and Oklahoma.
Distribution in New Mexico: Not known from New Mexico but may occur in Union County.
Habitat: Moist areas with rich grass and sedge growth; likes wet pastures, seeps.
Host: Probably forbs.
Adults Present: July-October.
Notes: Hind tibiae brown to black (other species with hind tibiae blue to gray). Can be a pest on range grasses and some crops such as alfalfa.
