DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

My position here at the USDA/ARS gives me the opportunity to work on and maintain many different types of equipment.  I am on call 24/7/365 to ensure the operation of all HVAC&R and scientific equipment so the scientists can successfully complete their research.  I also research, suggest and approve new equipment so that it is energy efficient, user friendly and compatible electrically for our buildings.

CURRENT PROJECTS

  • Prepare for the move into the new building and overseeing the final phase of construction in the building.

  • Installing condensers and evaporators in a new walk-in cooler/freezer.

  • Overseeing the construction of new greenhouse.

  • Installing an A/C unit for a new computer room.

EXPERIENCE

3 yrs. Installing, maintaining and servicing RTU's, commercial regrigeration, A/C equipment, AHU's and their controls.

 

9 yrs. Maintaining and servicing steam and hydronic boilers, regrigeration and A/C equipment and temperature control for the Colstrip school district.
