Common name: LITTLE PASTURE SPUR-THROAT.
Size: 16-25 mm.
General distribution: British Columbia, Canada, to New England; S. to North Carolina, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arizona.
Distribution in New Mexico: From northern counties south to Bernalillo County.
Habitat: Grassland.
Host: Forbs, grasses.
Adults Present: June-July.
Notes: Male cerci with broad tooth; furculae short, horn-like; subgenital plate transverse; color brown to yellow with dark spots; hind tibiae red to greenish-blue; tegmina long. Not economically important.
