General distribution: South Dakota, SW to California and S. through Texas to Honduras.
Distribution in New Mexico: Bernalillo, Chaves, Colfax, Dona Ana, Eddy, Hidalgo, Lincoln, Luna, Otero, Sandoval, San Juan, San Miguel, Socorro, Torrance, Valencia.
Habitat: Mostly playas and arroyos where intermittent water stands; will move into crop fields.
Host: Grasses(?), alfalfa, truck crops.
Adults Present: March-December.
Notes: Similar to E. costalis, but hind tibiae gray. Can be a pest of agricultural crops.
