Common name: SPOTTED WING GRASSHOPPER.
Size: 15-22 mm.
General distribution: South-central Canada through W. United States.
Distribution in New Mexico: Statewide.
Habitat: Grassland.
Host: Blue grama and other range grasses.
Adults Present: June-September.
Notes: Similar to C. crenulata, but without crenulated markings on tegmina. Can be a rangeland pest, especially with other grass-feeding species.
