Common name: CREAM GRASSHOPPER
Size: 20-32 mm.
General distribution: SW United States from Nevada S. through Baja California and the Chihuahuan Desert of Mexico.
Distribution in New Mexico: Cibola, Dona Ana, Eddy, Grant, Hidalgo, Luna, Otero, Rio Arriba, Roosevelt, San Juan, Santa Fe, Sierra, Socorro.
Habitat: Desert.
Host: Annual forbs, creosotebush.
Adults Present: March-November.
Notes: A common, somewhat chunky, pale, desert grasshopper with long, spotted tegmina. Tip of pronotal disk darkened, dorsal hind femora banded. Not economically important.
