Common name: HUMPHREY'S GRASSHOPPER.
Size: 19-36 mm.
General distribution: Arizona, New Mexico, and Mexico.
Distribution in New Mexico: Dona Ana, Hidalgo, Sierra, Socorro.
Habitat: Grassland.
Host: Probably forbs.
Adults Present: April-November.
Notes: A short-winged spur-throat grasshopper with black, pale-veined tegmina and orange antennae. Not economically important.
