Common name: SLENDER RANGE GRASSHOPPER.
Size: 20-30 mm.
General distribution: S. Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas; S. to Durango, Mexico.
Distribution in New Mexico: Bernalillo, Chaves, Dona Ana, Eddy, Hidalgo, Sandoval, Valencia.
Habitat: Desert grassland.
Host: Grasses.
Adults Present: July-October.
Notes: Only dark slant-faced grasshopper with white tips to antennae and red hind tibiae. Rare, not economically important.
