USDA-ARS Weed Ecologist Andy Lenssen (right) spoke about the alternate vs. stacked durum rotational study being done by a team of USDA-ARS NPARL scientists at the Froid Research Farm.  Scientists are looking at 4 year rotations with associated weed disease and yield studies.  In addition to the varied rotations, scientists are looking at the impact of different tillage treatments (conventional vs. no-till) and cultural practices (seed rates, planting dates, row spacing and fertilizer placement).  The study is in its first year.
